One tablespoon honey

Two teaspoons rice wine vinegar,

Half a tablespoon sesame oil

16 ounces of trimmed, 

1 inch-thick, cubed New York strip steak 

One large head of broccoli 

Six or eight medium-sized onions, chopped into 1-inch pieces only; just the white and light-colored sections

Instructions:

Combine the soy sauce, a solution of vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and half a teaspoon of kosher salt in a medium-sized bowl. Add some black pepper for seasoning. Distribute the marinade across two medium-sized bowls. Place the meat in a single bowl and mix to coat. Allow to marinate at room temperature for half an hour, stirring now and then, or place in the refrigerator for up to eight hours.

Trim the stems and cut in half any exceptionally large florets; they should be between 1 and 1 1/2 inches each. To prevent them from burning on the grill, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes if you’re using them. Before threading the skewers, drain.
