My niece, who is rather particular, liked these, as did the remainder of my family, so my spouse’s sister and I began to create a fake chicken nugget recipe for her. This recipe for homemade chicken nuggets is made using ground chicken, spices, and frozen rice made from cauliflower (you can’t tell!).

The mixture is then covered in breadcrumbs and baked or air-fried. Although they need a bit more time than using chicken bits, they are well worth it! To have your own healthy, handmade frozen chicken nuggets that you can feel good while feeding your kids, you can double the production and freeze the remainder.

The Air Fryer Method: Batch-process the chicken nuggets as needed, place them in a single layer, spray oil on top, and air fry for eight to nine minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, turning halfway through and oil-spraying both sides, until they are cooked through and golden.
